The animal shelter design involved creating a building and site that met the differing needs of the public, staff, volunteers and animals. Care was exercised to develop a progression of public to private spaces for the people and spaces for people and animals. Located in a residential neighborhood the traffic and noise of the shelter could not intrude on the comfort and privacy of the neighbors. The building was brought in within a very tight budget and built on schedule. - Teall Messer, principal architect. Randy Hudson Designs was part of the team bringing the local dream to reality.
